Azure Jay (Gralha-azul)

Found in the Atlantic Forest of southeastern Brazil, the Azure Jay is a member of the crow family, and as such, is extremely intelligent.

In Brazillian legend, the Azure Jay has a mission to spread the Acaucaria tree’s Brazillian Pine Nuts (Pinhão), and to protect the tree. He received his blue feathers for accepting this mission from the heavens.
