Was trying a few things, that fish... I don't know what the hell's with him. But yeah, was just trying to draw a few things, looked at a few things on line and wanted to see what i could do. Some good, some horrific, seems pretty par for course. xD

Yes, I also enjoy working on mannequin poses. I've been using Loomis' book "Figure Drawing for All It's Worth" as my guide. It was recommended to me by a couple artists. There is a large part of the book dedicated to using the mannequin to do character poses. Your solid mannequin is very nice and is something I still struggle to do. In Loomis' book there are two pages (pages 50-51) that have a bunch of little "hints" for fleshing out the mannequin pose. If you have access to the book, you should take a look as I think they are helpful and are apropos if you're going from the basic mannequin to something more detailed.
I think it would be interesting to ask a character artist their opinion on the hints in the book, because while the book itself was recommended I have no feedback on which parts are more or less useful. I don't know any character artists I can ask right now, however.
