The Titan Legionairies was a branch of high-ranked soldiers in use within the Zhu'Herx nation, and were one of the strongest, smartest and most skilled soldiers ever known to Y'Rakha. They were in use from over 40,000 B.C, to 1200 B.C, wheras new recriuts into the Night Titan branch was ended.
To become a Night Titan officer, included a training so hard, only the thirteen best of the one hundred and thirty recruits make it after thirteen years of it. Before soldier applies, he or she must first have served in a Herzian army for atleast fifteen years - Y'Rakhian years, mind you, which are 1.3 times longer than ours - and need 'inherxian' strength. The average height of a Night Titan soldier is eleven feet tall, whereas a normal herx is around seven feet tall. One of main reasons why they need such strength, is because of the massive armor they wear, made out of a special metal called Nightanium, which is stronger than the strongest steel, but weigh more than tungsten. Due to this, their armor's weight clocks in on an average around one metric ton. Most Night Titans are female, a total of 80%.
But those who actually complete the training, and become a Night Titan, are able to run for hours in those armors, and they are given almost equally heavy weapons to fight with. Due to the thickness and solidness of the armor, it is very hard to penetrate it, and most Night Titans survive a crossbow or even sometimes a trebuche or a catapult. As can be guessed, they are trained to be in the front, cleaning the way to the soldiers.
But for all their physical might and size, do not think them thick-headed or dumb. Night Titans are also trained to be officers of high ranking, and therefore require a fast and smart brain. Most of them can cast magic too, and have already increased their life span during the training. Due to all the training, even more than the common officers would get, when a Night Titan speaks - which they often do not to those outside their branch - every soldier and officer listens. Although not usually set to lead an army, but used to strengthen it up, they can take full command if the leading officer is no longer aviable. Sometimes, a small legion of Night Titans are sent out, but rareley, as a Night Titan is a very valuable soldier, and any Lord or Lady would sacrifice a hundred battle-weathered soldiers for one.
The Night Titans have only fours ranks;
DUSK TITAN - Those who have just completed the test and upwards, requires thirteen years of training, and atleast fifteen years as a soldier of rank. Their armor is completeley black. They are on par with a Captain.
NIGHT TITAN - The second rank, requires atleast seven years being of rank Dusk Titan, and must have fought in an army and won seven times. Their armor is the same as the Dusk Titans, except that parts of it is red (as seend on the drawing, minus the ornate parts) and they have a plume of hair coming out of the helmet. They are on par with a Commander.
MIDNIGHT TITAN - The third, and for most, the final rank. Requires atleast thirteen years being of Night Titan rank, and have fought in an army and won thirteen times, three of them they must have commanded themselves. Their armor is the same as the Night Titan rank, but also have ornate plates on the red plates (fully as shown on the drawing). They are on par with a General.
NIGHTMARE TITAN - The leader of the Night Titans. Requires to be of Midnight Titan rank, have lead and won atleast seven battles more, and have the permission of the Queen or King of Zhu'Herxia. Their armor is exactley the same as the Midnight Titan rank, except the ornate plates are black, and the helmet has two horns.

Well, yes, there isn't a minimum height restriction, but a minimum strength restriction. To complete the training, you must hold up a stone that weighs nine tons high up over your head for seven minutes. If you can't do it, you won't be able to join.
To be 9 feet tall, and be abla to actually complete the test, requires a strength not found in even Herxs, most likeley that person would be so bulky, they would be not allowed anyways, for the lack of possible movement. However, those who are 10 feet and up, has a good chance of completing it, IF they train VERY hard, of course. Even though 11 feet is the average height for them, many of them are 12 feet, 13 feet, 14 feet and even a few are 15 or 16 feet tall.

Yes. How they are choose volunteers something familiar like Spartans only healthy with strong bodies can join to start strengh traning?
Darn it its not strange they are Titans if they are soo huge and mountain of muscles they are. Reminds that came from studio Cyanide "Of Orcs and Men" with huge muscled orcs with 2 height.

Only those healthy may join in on the recruitment, of course. You apply to it, and if you pass the minimum requirements, you start the 13 years long training. You don't really have to be the strongest at start, but if you are short or not tht strong, you must have the ability to gain it fast, or you're out the third years, where you have to lift a stone that weighs one ton. The next year it's two tons, and then three tons and so on, until the lat year, where you have to lift and hold a stone that weighs 9 tons for some minutes.
Yea, most of the Night Titans use two-handed weapons sized for them in one hand, some even has a gigantic shield. Most common is a broad greatsword, a battleaxe, a warhammer usually far bigger than it should be, or a mace, sometimes with a morningstar head. Some even casts magic.
Of course they do! They are soldiers, not machines. Though during their training, they don't see them that often, only one whole month in the summer and one whole month in the winter, travel time not included. And even then, they do get days off, like the normal reqruits. When they have come of rank, then they get as much spare time as long there is no need for them, so some of them have second jobs, incase the intervals are too large.
Well, how long you have to serve without actually quitting yourself, depends on if you have extended your life span or not. At normal, you are forced to retire around 15 years before your expected demise, five years less retirement then what most soldiers get. And yes, you get to keep your gear, since the armor is special made for each Night Titan. However, they are not allowed to use it in public.
