These were part of a personal project I had started sculpting a year ago but had to shelf due to other commitments, so I'm excited to get the chance to work on them again!

When I was younger, sculpture was always my art-of-choice, and I made many shoulder-sitter and moving head dolls (using bicycle cables) - when I was in college my senior project was actually a Katsina (kachina) doll (I was lucky enough to get training under Hopi Laguna carvers Pauline and Raphael Serracino) - I have always been really interested in sculpture, dolls, and figurines - but my life has been so busy in the last ten years I haven't gotten to do a whole lot of it. I have been really inspired by the host of artist who've been playing with the medium and making some really incredible art doll creations - it's made me want to really get back into it myself!

Anyways, here are some fox faces in various stages of completion, getting ready to be furred and finished :)
