Awwww. Is there any snake more adorable than ball pythons? JEEZ, it's like they're MADE of puppy-dog eyes. :3
This is Gideon, he's our newest little boy. He's a yellowbelly, also known as het for ivory, but he's also kind of special. He's really weird looking, with a funky extra golden back, and extra bronzy sides, and blushing everywhere. What a little rock-star he is!

He's teeny! Just about 250 grams and maybe 2 feet long.
Redtails are indeed adorable too, I got a few that melt me pretty consistently, but I do think that baby ball pythons are about the cutest a snake can get. They're so pokey and mopey looking with those big bulbous eyes and nose!

I believe the general rule of thumb is that males are ready to go their second winter, and while size isn't too big of a factor, most people like them to be at least 800 grams or so. I think he'll probably be ready to go this upcoming season, depending on how much weight he puts on. He's still settling in so I haven't gotten the feel for whether or not he's going to be picky yet!
His flames are too die for, I'll post some more pics soon, he's ridiculous! He was sold to me as a definite yellow belly possible fire, but I kind of doubt the fire part, although that would be the best luck-out of the century!
