I was gonna write a short story to this, but I don't feel like doing so at the moment.

The condition of obese people is repulsive to me. I recall seeing once or twice, a student at the college where I work, who must have been at least 300 lbs overweight. Both times he was seated in the entrance lobby, app. waiting for a van to pick him up; too fat to walk to the subway.
Senator Dixon Hall Lewis was ~200 lbs overweight and had trouble getting lodgings or transport. Rooming houses charged him double rent because of all the food he ate. (He app. had an eating disorder and the early 19th cent. didn't have the medical technology to do something about it.). Also carriage drivers found excuses NOT to take him as a customer: he fell through the floorboards of one !
He also fell at least once or the chair broke under him (it wasn't his own) in the Senate. He was vindictive towards those who laughed at his undignified tumble.

Oh, he's not trying to impress her for that reason. At that day on the gym, he was the strongest there, until Katla showed up. He had been showing off to the other women at the gym, and felt a little annoyed when he was litterally dwarfed by her. So he tried to show her how strong he was, by lifting 200 kgs more than he normally can.

Well, she doesn't work out that often, as the only thing it leads to is bigger muscles, and her's are big enough already, but she goes atleast once a month.
But she often goes for walks in the forests and on the mountains. And yea, she does eat a lot of food, as can be guessed. >w<'

Drawing fat characters are a lot harder to draw than just very bulky ones, and though buff characters are harder because there's a lot more details to be wary of, fat characters have an additional aspect that you can't really ignore: Gravity. And I'm not talking about the gravity that would reander such bodies impossible here Earth.
