Der Ungeheuerschmaus
(The Feastmonster)
• Part I • Part II • Part III • Part IV • Part V •Lanze Federartig war jetzt vierzehn Jahre alt und wohnt in das kleiner dorf von Flußberg.
(Lance Feathery was now fourteen years old and lived in the village of Flussberg.)
(His father, a hippopotamus, always said to him: ''Be good, or The Ungeheuerschmaus will eat you!'')
(Little Lance was a good kid, but he was very curious and asked many questions.)
''Vater, was ist Der Ungeheuerschmaus?''
(''Father, what is The Ungeheuerschmaus?'')
''Der Ungeheuerschmaus ist ein ungeheuerlich Tier. Es wohnt in die Grünwald, hinüber der Fluß. Jeder Juli, kommt es zu unser dorf zu fressen. Undso jeder Juli, jeder haus macht viele Käsekugeln so Der Ungeheurschmaus werden uns nicht fressen.''
(''The Ungeheuerschmaus is a monster. It lives in the Greenwood beyond the river. Every July, it comes to our village to feast. And so every July, every house makes many cheeseballs so The Ungeheuerschmaus will not eat us.'')
Kleine Lanze glaubt sein Vater war verrückt. ''Kein Heilige Nicholas kommt am Weinachten; kein Hasen kommt am Ostern, also
gibt es kein ungeheuerlich Tier! Was für ein dummer Erzählung!'' spuckt Lanze.
(Little Lance thought his father was crazy. ''No Saint Nicholas comes at Christmas; no rabbit comes at Easter, therefore there is no monster! What a stupid story!'' spat Lance.)
''Sei vorsicht!'' sagt ihr Vater, das Flußpferd. ''Der Ungeheuerschmaus ist mehr großer als mich, und ob es dich fangt, ich kann nich hilfen. Es ist stärker als mich!''
(''Be careful!'' said his father, the hippo. ''The Ungeheuerschmaus is much bigger than me, and if it captures you, I can not help. It is stronger than me!'')
''Ja, richtig'' gedankt Lanze. Aber der Gedanke von etwas großer und stärker als sein Vater hat ihn wollüstig gemacht.
(''Yeah, right'' thought Lance. But the thought of something bigger and stronger than his father made him lusty.)
(The first of July came, and all the people in Flußberg made sixty cheeseballs and left them out for The Ungeheuerschmaus. It was hot, and Little Lance could not sleep. Around midnight, he heard a noise in the kitchen.)
''Das muss Vater sein, zu mir denken Der Ungeheuerschmaus ist wirklich. Ehe...ich wollen ihn erschrecken!''
(''That must be father, to make me think The Ungeheuerschmaus is real. Ehe...I will scare him!'')
(Little Lance walked quietly to the kitchen. He looked around the corner...and he saw the fattest thickest monster - father was right!)
(Lance smiled and walked into the kitchen, then he rubbed the fat belly of The Ungeheuerschmaus...)

Nice story so far. And a cute pic.
It was sometimes easier to read the english lines than the german ones. Although german is my mother tongue :P
Unfortunatly it reminds me of a sad thing.... (I won't bother u with it, if you don't wanna hear it.)
Anyway, I'm looking forward to read the other parts , too.^__^

First of all i've to say that irespect everyones art, if one puts effort into it. Even ifthe "recources" are limited.
I've seen the links, but I just need some time to read it because i'm quite busy due to my working times (8 am to ~midnight with few intermissions; for about 2 more weeks)
The sad thing is about the reason why I joined FA initially. I joined very recently. First I watched some fatfur-videos, and snapped some names up (like dragomike, tolstoy, blue, tombfyre, furaffinity etc) and I became quite interested. The I found dragomikes HP and his artworks. Not sad so far^^. Then I read Dragomikes story, called "The Rising Dragon". I was really hooked on that amazing story (a huge story with over 80 pages), although it was written in a very simple and sloppy english. (He is from Greece, but you probably know that already) I wanted to give him some feedback, but he was unavailable via e-mail. (due to his surgery, that I wasn't aware of) I've seen some recent activity on FA, so I decided to join it.
So, to come to the point, I wrote him my admiration via PM, and I also asked, if there is a sequel in progress. He replied, that he is working on a sequel, but he interrupted, because of a lack of interest and bad comments about it.
And that is the sad part. I became really sad and concerned about that bad comments. It's just not fair to evaluate a story on the limited writing abilities in a foreign language .
So here I am at FA and I created and submitted some "artworks". It was lots of fun and I spent so much time here recently. Now I'm really hooked to FA.
P.S.:I've also translated a little story from german to english in my last journal, just in case you are interested^^.

Wow...arbeit macht Erschöpfung!
This is not the ideal site for writers or photographers. Most stories hardly get any attention; and photographs are not thought of as "art" here by most. I have heard several writers complain about not getting many views of their work. Personally, I put my writings in the caption for the artwork...I find that works well.
As far as bad comments about those for whom English is not their first language...unfortunately there are a lot of furs (mostly Americans) who get upset at things like that. I don't like people like that.
But yeah, this is a really fun site...I spend more time here than anywhere else!
