The vampire pressed his claw tips to the sudden wound upon his cheek, surprised how a few simple scratches that ordinarily never hurt, and healed up quickly no less, burned like fire upon his face and continued to drip with blood, HIS blood. He was angered not by how she managed to land a hard punch to his face, but how she even dared to land a second blow by scarring his face. How was it that seconds ago she was on the brink of passing out from blood loss and yet there she stood, unscathed, and his bite marks had completely healed. He knew Chao's fur turned black & hair faded to a silvery blue whenever she was furiously angry but this was different... What stood before Seraphim was no longer the lioness he wanted to mark for himself. Her soul... it was now black as the being whose eyes pierced the darkness with a sinister red, yellow orbs replacing the once peaceful peacock blue & green colors. This was something much darker, and a cold shiver ran down his spine as he sensed another aspect. This being that stared him down, though occupying Chao's body, was far older than even he could possibly imagine. A chuckle broke the silence between the two and Seraphim snarled...
"You are obviously not Chao. Just who are you?" The vampire barked.
"I have been called many things & go by many names. Why should I tell a fool like you?" The lioness spoke, her voice deeper and laced with malice.
"You are no vampire, this much I know. I didn't mark you and didn't sense any other vampires in your blood." He growled angrily.
"Vampire? HAH!" Chao threw her head back and laughed maniacally, lightning booming in the air. "You really are stupid! I know that you know what I am... " She grinned with eagerness, daring the so-called immortal to utter the word.
"Demon. An immortal creature older than time itself and able to occupy a mortal without being noticed, at least by other mortals. But how--?" The vampire was confused. How was it he, a vampire over two millenniums old, couldn't sense this being dwelling in Chao's soul?
"Are you really that surprised I can hide myself from a low-class immortal like you? Let me make this easy for you, vamp." She spat, her eyes narrowed hatefully. "As long as this lioness' heart beats, I can exist within her, in this delicious realm, where I can feast to my little black heart's content. However, when this body is on the brink of death, that's when you piss me off & wake me up, simple, yes?" She questioned with a mocking tone. "Basically, it's like this. I can't exist unless this body's alive & breathing, which is why I'm not keen on you turning her into the UNDEAD, you pathetic and selfish bastard." She roared furiously, a tearing sound echoing throughout the walls. Seraphim looked on as the demon dropped to her knees and let out an ear-piercing shriek. He watched as two bulges started to forced upwards from her back, one bulge on both her shoulders. Two large bat-like wings shredded fur and muscle as they ripped open, causing copious blood to splatter across the walls. Seraphim, for the first time in his immortal life, felt horror in his heart as he watched the lioness stand easily after the transformation, her fangs bared and eyes pierced into his own gaze.
"You're lucky I won't waste my time slaughtering you... at least, not tonight." The demon growled, spitting upon the ground at Seraphim's feet. "I may despise goldie's ideals and beliefs, but what you have done to her, mentally and physically, is fowl & despicable..."
Seraphim snarled at the demon's nerve to judge him. "What makes a chaos-loving blood-thirsty demon like you better than I? I am but a vampire, and though damned I maybe, I take blood to sustain living in the realm." He glowered.
The demon raised one clawed finger, pointing towards the vampire with hate-filled conviction. "You... You were going to violate her over and over repeatedly to just mark her as your property for all eternity, make her a reluctant but still obedient slave, depriving her of free will forever. I at least grant my food the sweet taste of death eventually, even after the slowest and most painful of torments." The demon whispered with loathing damnation.
