Mhhhh, looks cool, but a lil bit too...techniqued for a russian soldier.

Nothing aginst the russian army, but in the past and modern times, the technology used by the russian army wan't that much state of the art.

STill, this pic is pretty cool, I espacially like the design of that assault rifle.

True enough, but most of that is actually caused by the ruined economics of russia. The federation is simply not capable of upholding many projects of any sort at a time, be it military or civilian. Should the russian economy catch itself again (and I'm not exactly opposed to speculating that it will) we might see a radical change in the word russian quality...

True, there are chances, though they're small. And even with just limited resources, the russian weapons always worked.

They weren't state of the art or very high in quality, but still, they managed to kick ass, mostly because they are so durable and easy productable.

Two of the most popular examples are the RPG Rocket launcher and the AK assault rifles.

So it is...which is probably what I like most about russian design. no matter what you do to it, it will still work XD

Yeah, I think russian tanks are alot like Orc vehicles and weapons from Warhammer 40k. I know its a weird comparison. XD

Basically they're just a big pile of metal bolted together, but they work good enough to match even some of the better, far-more techological vehicles, like Predator tanks. XD

Also, I think the video over dramatize a bit. I mean, yeah, WWII german tanks were the best tanks in design and technology back then, like a lot of stuff the germany armys used. But they never really seemed unstoppable.

Because, quality and superior tanks doesn't helps you much if the enemy can deploy four own tanks, which are just a lil bit behind your own tanks in functionality, for each tank you can deploy.

Also, german tanks and equipment weren't really made for the harsh russian weather.

But then, if hitler wouldn't have attacked russia...better not to think about it.

nice, i don know if this was intended, but that rifle looks like a G36 without the top rail.

id say it looks more like a G3

G3 would be a bit to thin. and the front sight is placed different. but the body is closer thou. could be either one.

Actually both rifles would be too thin, but the AK-120 design was mostly based on the thought of replacing everything that is't involved with the firing mechanism with polymers while still maintaining an abreviation of the simple Kalashnikov design

ah ok, so the polymers make it lighter and more durable? and one question, is it open or closed bolt firing. or does it have seperate modes?

It's still the same rotating bolt system as in the older AK variants, so it's essentially closed when loaded....

so, does it still have overheating problems, or do those polymers counteract that?

hmmm i look at this and it makes me think of an old saying my dad once told me.. it went as "No matter what anyone tells ya. Russia has some damn awesome shit in there arsonal of weapons and such. there only problem is they don't have the money to keep it in their own country most of the time."

Yeah, as I mentioned above, the current russian economy just doesn't allow for many things to work the way they're supposed to >.O

*nods* i remember hearing about a tank they built a few years back. top of the line best of everything could even have parts added to it so it could do extra rolls. (e.g. 2 AA. mounts on the side of the turret to deal with low flying aircraft). but they cost so much to build one china pretty much got to buy every one of em.

Russians are so awesome, I dunno why, but they just kick ass. Great and amazing info there by the way.
