Awww man I hate when that happens. I never used to save pics people did for me on my harddrive, but after havinga few artists just wipe their gallery without so much as a warning and losing some pictures and stories that were really treasured to me I make sure to pretty much save everything i get these days. I really honestly dont understand deleting pics. It takes 2 seconds to move stuff to scraps. that way you keep the pic but not only that you keep all the comments people took time to write to you. Comments mean a lot to me and I just kinda think its rude that people are happy to throw those away. But mebbe thats just me *hugs*

Very true! I really hate it when I look at my favourites and see that grey square and can't remember what used to be there...

I honestly consider myself a hoarder. if something isdone for me. i keep it on my HDD and i keep several online backups ( even though they are not publicly distributed. they are just in storage servers.

But i do really hate when i look through some art or favorites, and all isee is "Submissiion Deleted by The User" ... and i am like ... And then what did i fave? ... i can understand the pain but i ahven't personally felt it.

There is nothing more depressing that the deleted submission. Sure, there will be cases where something is removed for good reason; but when an artist gives up on themselves or their watchers and decides to erase their own works and accomplishments simply to get the point across, it's extra depressing.

Double sucks when it wasn't the artist that deleted it but instead a rogue admin. Seen an entire gallery get wiped after the user had spent years writing rather lengthy stories for each piece he had commissioned. No warnings, no backups, it was just all gone.

I feel much the same way. *sniffle* I hate it when good stories decommissioned.
