This is
Dustmeat 's drawing of
moonstone . I did some colors for it. It was going to be for that contest Dustmeat was holding, but I lost my tablet pen at the time. I asked her if it was still okay if I upload it even though the contest was over and she said it was cool.
I colored it in PS7 - I was going to push it cleaner, but doing the rough shading and highlights sat so well with me I fixed them a little and left it as is. I know better than to mess with a bit of artwork when you see something you like in it.
Her fur's a little abstract, but I like that it looks sort of fluffy without being overly "obvious clumps of fur".

I usually go for a very polished, smooth look with my digital coloring. If this was smooth you wouldn't see any little odd blotches of color, or slight streaky marks. It would blended fully and be very, very soft. I don't have any furry examples on my FA that I could show you, though on my DA, I have one that shows what I mean:

^ You can see the soft airbrushed look I usually go for on him.
