Name: Aanii (Awe Nee)
Species: Northern Resident and Icelandic hybrid Killer Whale
Gender: Female
Age: Under 1 year.
Appearance: 7 ft. at 350 lbs. She has a pronounced mouth clip and a large eye patch. Aanii has a small nick in her flank patch and the tips of her fluke markings are black, where the middle is still white.
Personality: Aanii is much more outgoing, playful and energetic than her mother, Atsoo. She was a little shy when first born, but warms up to strangers quite quickly. She loves the humans visitors and trainers. When her mother allows it, she enjoys playing in front of the viewing window.
History: Aanii is captive born. She was born tail first, and is a healthy and strong calf. Atsoo had no issues nursing caring for her calf despite being a first time mother.

Personality: Aanii is much more outgoing, playful and energetic than her mother, Atsoo. She was a little shy when first born, but warmed up to the other orcas quite quickly. She loves the humans visitors and trainers.
As she has aged, Aanii has maintained her outgoing and exuberant personality. She has obnoxious tendencies and has a excitement for all aspects of life. In training she can be over eager and her performances can be rushed.
History: Aanii is captive born. She was born tail first, and was a healthy and strong calf. Atsoo had no issues nursing caring for her calf despite being a first time mother. As she grew Aanii's friendly and eager personality made her a prime candidate for advanced training. She loved learning and made fast progress. It didn't take her long to become one of the stars of any performance.
When Atsoo was moved to a large retirement aquarium, Aanii moved along with her.
