Just joining this site now, and dumping some old art I still like to look at :) This was completed in Feb of 2011, so it's a bit out of order in my gallery.
My second favourite painting I've ever done, but I also think it was the funnest. The clouds were probably my favourite part, but it was all so great. I loved doing the wings and hair, but I absolutely adored doing the clothes and the rings of colour from the sun.
Anyway, this started as a photo of a stone statue, (who's name and sculptor I will add tomorrow) which I manipulated digitally, then painted :)
It was featured in an art show in a local gallery, Museum London, and it now hangs in my hallway, because I couldn't bear to part with it <3
