They are. Moving vines are just plant tentacles. Absolutely terrible and overused. But this gets a pass.

I'd even advise they should be done before the bondage. Give them a taste of what's to come. Then show them the bondage. When they're panicked and running for their lifes, catch them. Then have fun!
