This is something I'd say if I realized my pants did not fit anymore. Gaining weight is fine. Frankly, I am fine with it and welcome the idea of getting a bit bigger, but having to adjust to the new gut and pant size is a bit bothersome.

Funny thing, in other times, and cultures having an efficient metabolism was a blessing. A blight or bad year of crops often caused a famine. Nowadays, at least where I live there's no such thing as a famine. We almost have an adversarial nature with food anymore we got so much of it!
