When the Darnathi first arrived, despite Darius being a new father, (having recently adotped Rain/doodle) He was not exactly a nice person. At this point in time Titan had beaten Darius into begrudging loyalty, and he wasn't about to go soft on the locals they were trying to dominate.

What you know, I always thought that the aliens arrived after Fox rise to power on the islands. So, the Darnathi are really inefficient at dominating then, if they couldn't seize the whole chain of islands before Fox rose to control the place and created her Empire.
