Millie - My Beautiful Cat.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adTFoKAm_tY
Meet Millie. The only cat I ever owned, well, she kinda crept her feral little way into my heart. Millie was named after 'Billie and Millie' by Alice Cooper. She was a crazy cat, never left my side for more than a few seconds on a 3 mile walk back home after a night out.
It was raining hard, but she braved it and followed me home.
Mum wouldn't let me keep her, but I would let her into my room to sleep when she liked.
I can't say much more than this...she was my little ball of crazy that I needed in my life. I can honestly say, sharing your dinner with a little friend on your shoulder is the best feeling ever. Even pizza. She was a true wild cat, big bushy tail and all.
Mum caught us a few times in my room, so I took her to live at a friends' house as she had other cats. Millie bared fangs and hissed at the other cats if they got too close, poor Kiwi got bopped on his head a few times.
Thing is, I stayed there for a while to get her settled in. Millie was fed regularly, enjoyed her food and we think she might have been pregnant...or she just put on a little buddah belly while she was there. My friend's dad let her out accidentally after I left to go home.
She ran away...I'm sorry I failed you Millie. You were a blessing that made me so happy, you hated other people but would always come back for snuggles. If a fox got you, I hope you tore his throat out before the fight was over.
I miss you Millie. Wherever you are now, alive or passed over the rainbow bridge...I hope your safe. I keep expecting you on the end of my bed curled up with my plushies. =(
You were a fighter, a lover and a little bit insane. But I loved you for it.
Billie I wonder why are we insane
Will we ever get better
Will we stay the same
Billie I'm worried
Millie don't worry
No one knows our pain
Being in love is crazy not alone that way
I know you're worried today
God made love crazy so he wouldn't feel alone
He was thinking of us he was thinking of us
God made love crazy so he wouldn't feel so alone
Billie my mind seems to wander
To events of a night long ago
Driving alone with our guilt well concealed
In the trunk of your '68 Olds
Millie our world's an asylum
And our minds like you say ain't that straight
But you know and I know our passion's
Not deformed it's true to say
We'll love our lifetime
God made love crazy so he wouldn't feel alone
He was thinking of us he was thinking of us
God made love crazy so he wouldn't feel so alone
Billie I dream of our children
They're frightening and gruesome and sad
And I don't want them growing inside me
They're no price for the love that we have
Oh Millie oh Billie criminally insane
Oh Millie oh Billie
Oh Billie it's fresh in my memory
The night that it had to be done
You with your pick axe and scissors
And you with your shovel and gun
And I liked your late husband Donald
But such torture his memory brings
All sliced up and sealed tight in baggies
Guess love makes you do funny things
Oh Millie oh Billie criminally insane
Oh Millie oh Billie
