i didn't know either til a friend told me. I have a male calico character and she mentioned it so i was like, "well. shit. i'm totally putting that into his story then, NICE."

From what I understand, very rare male calicos (the rarest of the rare) don't have that problem.

Which is also cool to think about when designing these characters and stories revolving around them.

XD probably not? Maybe it was on purpose, or kray just likes calicos a bunch and it was the option he went with?

I'm aware that male calicos have XXY chromosomes which make them sterile. The decision is actually a pun/joke/reference for perspective people like you guys. While I do not have the Klinefelter syndrome, nor is that I am sterile, I won't be able to reproduce because of my sexuality. I find it fun to go with this setting. I like to be in a minority, it make me feel special and chosen, while being special isn't really a "special" thing, I love being AB blood type and what not. Male calicos are considered a symbol of luck in Japan because of their rareness. The design of my fursona might not be the most unique or imaginative, but I think it contains enough symbolic meanings for it to be "for me", so I decided to go with it.
