Clients bring in neat stuff from time to time.
Here is a paper folding of Master Chief Petty Officer John-117's SPARTAN-II helmet.
The client was hoping to harden it and use it as a part of a costume. I didn't stick around for the conversation about doing that, though I don't know how successful they would likely be.

do a 3d scan. make a wood master. and then fiber glass cloth and epoxy. only way i can think of to work from a paper master. sure would make a cool bean bucket for a bug eater though. i'm guessing the only part your shop would be set up to do would be the plexy bubble to protect the face.
i don't know that, but my impression is that your department just works with plexy.
