I was searching for my mare in the pasture today...she was busy not being catchable, having apparent psychic awareness of when I intend to give her the hated worm preventative...when I almost stumbled into a litter of three fox kits. The babies were hardly shy at all, and allowed me to observe and photo them for a while before toddling back into the blackberries. I've seen lovely red foxes here before, but never a family.
