A flyer I made for this year's Furlandia! The theme is Furs of the Iron age - and I chose to illustrate the Greek goddess Athena as a vixen ^.^. The convention takes place on Memorial Day weekend (May 23-25th 2014) at the Sheraton Airport Hotel in Portland, Oregon. And they have very kindly asked me to attend as the Artist Guest of Honor! =D
The website for Furlandia is up and taking registrations for attendees as well as dealers! You should come, it will be a great time!! Their website is www.furlandia.org

I love that helmet - although it seems like the front nose protector should be curved over a bit more if it's supposed to have the eyeholes over her eyes when it's down. Also, an even more minor complaint - the aspis is normally a bit bigger! Even so, I love how you captured the theme of "bronze age furry warrior woman". She looks cute and attractive despite clearly being military in some function, which is a hard balance to strike without making it seem silly. Well done!
As the theme was described to me, it is intended to encompass the egyptian, greek, and roman civilizations - so it is not strictly historical, as that is a large span of time. Also I'm not much of a historian myself so I illustrated something within those themes that interested me =).
