In my LoZ gender-bender project, I re-created the kokiri in the way that I felt that they should have been done. In Ocarina of Time, they were forest children right? If they left the forest they would die, but if anyone from the outside were to go to them they turned into a plant or an animal.
Well in this case, I have it so that the older they become, the more one with nature they are. Hence why the elder of the bunch, the Deku tree, is a tree! Lenore here is a mixture of different animals; a lion, a cheetah, and a deer. Don't ask why I picked those, honestly I just drew her and went with it. She acts as Link's teacher in my gender-bender doujinshii and is the one that holds the spiritual stone of earth.
