With the layer modes "color" and "overlay" on top of the greyscale. But the greyscale has to have the right tones, too. So if you've got a tiger, you'd paint it a mid tone with dark stripes and white on the face/belly, and then the tint of orange over it will look nice but you'll still have dark stripes. You can't just use black on the co, or layer to grt black, doesn't work that way.
Hope this helps!

Yeah ok I can't find any tutorials I made, but I found some tutorials that I used to learn how to do it with!

Soooo yeah lots of layers are used and everyone does it differently, but I find it helps bring all the colours and the picture together :3 It took me several attempts and practices to fully UNDERSTAND what the hell I was doing. If you want dark hair, do the hair dark in greyscale first. You can't just put black over it kn a "colour" layer, doesn't work that way and it's real confusing until you figure it out, but you learn a lot about tone and colour when you're figuring it out ^^
