Thanks! With a special speckled hair brush it's not too difficult to create an illusion of detailed fur texture. You just push the color instead of painting every single strand of fur. =)

By myself, mostly. I observe carefully how people do these things and I read tutorials whenever I can find them. I try to learn on my own. I really would've wanted to get in an art school, but I couldn't quite make it five years ago and I ended up studying history instead. It will always bug me to some extent because I've always dreamed that I could somehow make a living by drawing stuff. Any stuff. =)
