$130 for an EMPTY sketchbook?

The book (up to $20) and sketch (based on your prices: $67.25) is only worth half what you're selling them for.

The sketch on the front page will eventually fade and the book doesn't even look that thick or even large.

It's pen and ink tonal work, entirely permanent. It won't fade, I have one of my own I've lugged around for 5 years and it's shown no signs of fading what-soever!

Some people have the money for it, maybe drawing is all they do and are retired. and want something nice. Who knows. I dropped 20$ on S.T.A.L.K.E.R faction patches and probably over $100 on pizza in the last two weeks, even more if you factor in drinks!

Not to mention shipping IS included. Shipping in Canada is insane. To send a letter to the US, just a plain letter. it's like $2.

Paper is always nice to have when the power is out, along with .5MM pencils! That or printing and copying a few hundred pages of gov paperwork...

This is a product fellow artists can actually use! It's not like a shitty sticker or a plain old print. I think thi is a marvelous idea and a good way to get a unique original (the tonal ink/no fade is a great idea) work froma favorite artist and then lug it around everywhere and have a bit of inspiration in your lap everytime you open the sketchbook until it's full, and it's something that will encourage you to keep the sketchbook forever and in good shape so you can go back and look at your old work someday.

Why are we as a community willing to pay $300 for a one-off character design that serves no practical use but not $100 for a memorable, physical, portable, usable piece of art?

Excellent product, Patto. I'm very fond of the natural toned paper and the white in the cover really sets the sketch apart as a professional cover and not just a personalized doodle.
