It's been a while since I've held a contest so I figured that I was due for one. It has been suggested to me that I should have a contest that everyone can enter even if they are not artistically inclined. So my solution... a coloring contest!

I created this species specifically for this contest, but the poor guy needs to have a color design. That's where you guys come in.
To enter the contest, simply come up with a color scheme for this species. You can use anything to color him with from traditional to digital mediums. INFO ON THE SPECIES TO HELP YOU GET STARTED!

This species is a relative of the Akrian Opinicus that has been in several other drawings I've done. The Smokey Valley Opinicus is slightly larger than its Akrian cousin, standing about 3'5" at the top of the head.
The Smokey Valley Opinicus is a rare species, only found in the Smokey Valley area of the planet Ultimare. The Smokey Valley is a mostly forested area nestled between two major mountain ranges and is named for the seemingly perpetual layer of fog that covers the ground. The forests here are dark with gnarled trees and there are some grasslands, though the Opinicus tends to stick to the overlooking mountains. They can and do venture into the forests and grasslands.
Many of the animals in the Smokey Valley are bioluminescent... so yes, the Opinicus can have some bioluminescence. Just don't overdo it. >_<
Darker colors would probably work best. Although I'm not going to limit your color palette! Make him whatever color you want to!
Like all of the Ultimarian Opinicus subspecies, their bodies are completely covered in fur, not feathers. The wings being the exception of course!
Their diet is mostly small mammals and large insects.
They do have two wings. I just removed the left wing from the picture above to better show body type and markings.
