Ta-daaaa.

This was a commission from my friend,  talakestreal of her character, Talakestreal. I had sooo much fun working on this, especially that mottled butterfly-like crest! =D I also sort of like how it's shaded, and how the back plates have a slightly different shading style - I wanted them to look a little more fluid and metallic.

I tried a few different colors and styles for the background, but in the end, I thought that the neutral color fit the picture. Any designs I tried just took away from the picture, so it's just a plain, flat background. Although, I'm way tempted to add in random musical notes, because Tresh says that the dragoness, herself, is quite musical - those holes in her horn make different notes, like a flute!

I took a little artistic license with it in adding the glowy spiney things and choosing a color for the plates, as those were undefined. I'm pretty darn happy with 'em, though!
