This is my second piece done in 2005ish in the storyline of the dragon series where the girl and her dragon from my first work ("Majestic Beast") encounter another dragon and his rider/tamer. It has come to be fall in this scene, whereas in the first artwork hinted towards signs of spring and oncoming summer, so it can well be said that our two main characters have truly gotten to know one another by this time.
Yet upon encountering the two suspicious characters, the girl greets the young man in glee, but as his dragon goes to inspect the girl's, it hisses back in shock and uncertainty. It certainly doesn't know if it will like this new dragon being around or not...
This artwork, along with Magestic Beast, took close to a month each to complete.
