Borom is the example of how one can put off nature and actually become an intelligent creature, with daily interactions of highly-developed minds while learning many things of his own.

Borom even has ventured into the realms of science. Knowing of his own ability to engorge and fatten to impossible sizes, Borom has wondered if other Baloths of less-developed intellect have the same ability.

So, he finds a random baloth, traps it with a couple of vine spells, and begins feeding it from a device Borom calls the NIFM, or Nearly Infinite Food Machine. Borom's human servants (as seen represented on the platform) were more than happy to assist; this particular baloth has been quite a troublemaker recently.
