! Something a little different and closer to what I usually do for freelance stuff.
Because someone quit (and my boss moved departments) in my regular job, I picked up a full workweek to help them out a bit over there. Because of that, I'm not sure how much progress will be made on commissions, since I get home dead tired. Bear with me and apologies for the delays!

Ah real guns! Now I might need a non-canonical commish in the future of me in my outdoor clothes (TAD gear :D) low ready with my suppressed TRG-22 or Mk12 SPR! There isn't enough love for precision rifles and it's hard to find folks that can do firearms. Plus I never have time nowadays to take them out to the range or to the mountains for a pew pew pew session as I'm pushing 50+ hr work weeks, so I feel your pain of being dead tired. Hopefully you're wage and not salary and the extra hours gets you some more cashola! Tons of overtime, but no actual energy left to do anything when you clock out.
The Germans are interesting. USPs are huge and heavy handguns with lots of machined steel parts but the MP5 has a lot of stamped sheet metal and feels light. What knife model is that? Looks like micarta scales. Busse? Swamp Rat Knife Works?

I've always had more fun with marksmanship than blasting stuff as fast as possible. I used to shoot handguns at 100m and small .22 caliber rifles to 200m as it was a good challenge. There's no club around here to take advantage of my precision rifles though so it's kind of a waste to shoot them at 200m.
I am a fan of gear work. It's all fine details and needs to be done well to come together as a final product. You've got it down to a science, as seen in all your armor and wardrobe stuff on your gallery!

To answer your question on the Knife, it's the Chris Reeves Pacific 6" Combat Knife with a micarta handle and S35VN Stainless Steel blade.
Additional details is that the version of the USP seen here is supposed to be a USP9, I presume you know what variant of MP5 it is but for other people it's specifically the MP5A2 with an SEF trigger group (Safe, Semi-Auto, Full-Auto) and a fixed stock. Forward facing weapon-light added as well.
The Grenade is not a Smoke Grenade for others watching but rather the Mk3A2 High Explosive, a non-fragmentation grenade that utilizes raw explosive power to kill, ideal for close combat. In the story I'm writing which features these soldiers, they utilize High Explosive grenades against Zombies not for the purpose of killing targets but to clear a path in densely packed hordes and to thin out a potential group making it easier to target individual oppenants

Yay Chris Reeves! I have met his wife at a national blade show years ago! I have knives in S30V and S60V but never tried S35VN. Sandvik makes good materials. I am using their carbide tooling right now at work.
If my state ever changes the SBR aw, I would be the first in line to pick up a subgun. Until then, the shortest tool I have after selling the AUG are suppressed M4s. Surefire makes fantastic weapon and standalone lights. I probably have around 20 of their products and none have ever failed me, from handheld to shotgun. Even the basic 6P handheld is great. I used it for structure and dark house clearing drills several years ago. Many. of the new "tacticool" lights suck. The multi mode switches are actually incredibly detrimental when you need short controlled bursts of light.
You have an excellent kit for zombies! I love post-apocalypse settings!

Believe me that this outfit and load out is just the basic bare bone minimum for recruits and starting soldiers in the story, there are alot more units with more varied kit.
Additionally something else I should mention, during training many of these soldiers forgo the use of full-auto firing or even burst fire, contemporary to what most SWAT units train with. They are trained to almost exclusively use semi-automatic fire and the "training" weapons are actually a mix of the military/police issue semi-automatic only MP5 and/or the HK94. The reason? To conserve ammunition in a zombie apocalypse and ensure the highest accuracy potential while aiming for the Zombies only weakpoint, the head.
