these guys have pretty much grown beyond the point of just being a silly and fun representation of my favourite band; they've been showing up in my little scribbles and whatnot quite often and have been taking on minds of their own :V so, i am changing their names and promoting them to the rank of ~original characters~ so I can give myself more leeway with them. hoo-ray


Anyway, starting all over: collectively they are called See Me Repeat Me. they begin in the late 70's as a club band started by a couple of ambitious british kids, and eventually find themselves outrageously popular for a short time before the public moves on to the next thing. to the surprise of the critics and the media they continue doing their thang for many years even when they're getting little to no attention, because in addition to making money they have a fuckton of fun being in a band together.

this drawing is them in like.....1982 or 83 or something, which should explain the overall faggyness.

The band members are as follows:

Tony: rabbit, drummer
reserved and quiet kind of guy - his instinct is to shy away from attention, which is of course quite difficult when you've got 15 000 groupies screaming at you. It takes a bit before he'll open up to someone. a surprisingly witty and funny guy. Also ridiculously down to earth, friendly, and approachable for someone who's in a successful rock band.

Nigel: red fox, bassist
the shy dorky kid who fervently dreamed of being in a famous band throughout his teenage years - only unlike countless other teenage boys in the same position he actually finds himself in a famous band. gets really caught up in the sex drugs and rock n roll side of things. Despite being a really sweet and level guy at heart, throughout the 80s he tends to get really out of control due to snorting a shitload of coke and drinking a lot. Things eventually go really off the rails for him but he does manage to sort out his addiction problems in the end, and ends up being totally clean later in the band's career.

James: tent bat, keyboardist
the weird femmy looking one. He's got this really dignified, straight-faced air to him much of the time; but behind that he has an unpredictably quirky, dry sense of humour and is really quite artsy and strange. Very friendly and loves talking to people. Not an excessively skilled musician, but great with technology and competant enough with his keyboards, as well as a talented writer.

Charlie: tiger, vocalist
tends to be very loud and silly and obnoxious. Can be blunt to the point of rudeness. He likes messing with people's heads and has a biting sense of humour. He's proud and confident but does his best to stay grounded and keep his ego in check. Very sensitive and intelligent, even though this can be overshadowed by his silly behaviour. Fidgety and brimming with energy. sweet and caring but he doesn't show this side of him often in the public eye.

Nile: ferret, lead guitarist
a wiry little guy filled with piss and vinegar. fun-loving and energetic, with a fiery temper and a loud mouth. swears and drinks and smokes an awful lot. Harsh and blunt. A tender family man is hidden underneath all that bristly gruffness, but he won't admit it outright.
