Yes this is the same Maytag that builds kitchen appliances. Too bad it couldn't have continued like Mitsubishi did in Japan.
And this one has a history behind it.
Originally sold in Nebraska by a JD Hasik. He licensed the car on July 6, 1910. The car changed hands locally between 1913 and 1950. In 1950 it ended up in the hands of a well known local car collector in Nebrasika until his death in 1992. It was transferred to Idaho, the first time in 80 years it had left Nebraska where it spent three years being restored. After its restoration it made several long distance tours until it was bought once more and brought to Kansas City where it resides in another collection to this day.
This and many vintage cars were on display at the KC auto show in the KC vintage car club area.
