My half of an art trade with 
Skylyr (over on FA). I got him to make me an intro song for Mek and I's Youtube show.
He wanted to be playing a violin with embers on it in the rain. I had to hunt down some references that I never thought I would use! What an experience! I even tested a different type of lineart. Thinner lets me have more details, but I think the thicker ones let me have more expression. Different styles for different situations, it seems.
I'll be honest, I took this as an opportunity to test my limit. But, you got better art out of it. Fair deal?
