Goody bye Yumi...
last few days she had been sick. we took her to the vet and they kept her overnight, without promises, but to at least try.
this morning she died of a tumor...
she was a damn sweet and loving dog. she would ask you for pet with gentle licks. and be by people sides.
she would do her "helicopter tail" or her "Yumi dance" by spinning on herself when she was happy.
she didn't deserve to go so young but now i hope she is safe with rush and the other's...
i will miss you Yumi...

I'm sorry Karmakat! If it's any consolation I know how you feel. My family has a female Toy Poodle named Crystal 8 years old and belongs to my younger sister but is especially loved by my Father. The poor Crystal this blind with symptoms of glaocoma. She still sees far and with difficulty but now starts moving bumping into things. My father suffers much to see her like that but according to the vet no what to do. Only someone who has a pet knows the size of pain right now. So I regret and wish that your puppy is at peace.
I do not know how much words can truly comfort someone after such losses, but at times it seems these are all we have when geography doesn't allow us more. I cannot claim to understand what you have gone through so I will not try to. I believe that things will get better with time, but how much time is never known to us mortals.
We know only that the pain is, at time unbearable, and that loved ones surrounding us helps to lessen that. The ability to share the memories of those taken from us with those still here, has long been a way to convey those feelings and some small measure of what has been lost.
I chose to believe, those who have passed on watch over us as we live, and will be waiting for us when our time comes. I feel that we need to remember the totality of a life, not just the good times we shared. With each life we allow into our own, we pass on some part of our soulprint to each other.
May the unconditional love they gave to you keep you warm and give you a guiding light though your grief and sadness. May their lives give you strength to face the coming years until you see each other again.
