I'd consider Marten if I were to go back to bumping dock but yeah I do prefer flatbed, I like the challenge and exercise that comes with it. Western really isn't a bad company, if they were I wouldn't still be here with the experience I have now. We have a bad reputation because some of our other drivers (mostly on the van side) are idiots but I've got no complaints about the company itself. They get me plenty of miles, they get me home when I ask them to...my DM is awesome, the best dispatcher I've ever worked for. We're also the second largest flatbed fleet in the nation, only Maverick has more.

He was referring to trucking company I drive for, not outfit as in my clothing. Western Express has a less then stellar image in the industry because some of our other drivers are dumbasses.

I've seen adds for WEstern express, and Ive considered workin for them, since they will hire me.

But I have a Dog. And I have no family who can take said dog.

Yeah they don't allow pets sadly :-\ but as I said to Straycat above, I've got no problems with Western and I've been with them over two years now. This really isn't a bad company or I wouldn't still be driving for them.
