A little something for those who watch my scraps and WIPs. I don't post WIPs as much as I'd like to. >_<

I've been writing Deren's backstory. Part 1 is completely finished and I've begun working on part two. There will be 5 parts total and I will post them publicly (I'm just waiting for a few of my beta readers to give me feedback for part 1 so I can revise it and post it). Part 2 will focus more on Deren's days in the arena, which means some of the other gladiators in Deren's ludus will show up in the story at one point, so I've decided to illustrate a few of them. These characters are all slaves that fight under the banner of the Faceless. They see each other as brothers... even though they are all well aware that they may one day be forced to kill each other in the arena. After Deren is freed, he spends a lot of his time looking for the others so that he may also free them.
