You can see the size difference in panel one between Nimsha and Lacy. One swing of her arm and Nimsha could lay this girl flat, but she's not like that. If this were the Siberian Military, Lacy would have a sock party waiting for her tonight. But that's not where they are, and Nimsha wants to get along with everyone. She feels a little backed into a corner at the moment.

I can't really blame Lacy for the room smelling like vomit. After all, she like Nimsha, has to live in that room. Now still, she could have been respectful and just talk to Nimsha in private.
But the other stuff like our country, standards, etc; Now that was totally uncalled for and Lacy knows better than that. What goes around does come around. Law of Averages plainly states "That Chances Do Around"

Thanks man. Yes, you're right about the close quarters of living space. This was somewhat inspired by an experience I had in college. While I was on a trip, my roommate got completely wasted and puked all over himself in the room. I came back to room that smelled like vomit for the next 6 weeks. I was upset, but I certainly didn't stoop to personal insults.
Oh I'm quite sure a few of them will be dealing with Lacy later on, at least I hope so, someone needs to put her in her place. I can understand being upset by a roomate smelling of puke sleeping in the same room and a small one at that, those fumes can be quite awful but this is taking it way too far.

I've seen a few blow ups between people like that and the reaction from the bystanders was similar, do nothing then offer support after the offender left. Of course it doesn't help that our schools and legal system protects the bullies and not those who stand up for themselves or others.
Same here. The idea here is that we see how Nimsha's roommate really is, and that everyone was blindsided by Lacy's act, a move she calculated on her own. Yeah, I always hated the idea of both kids getting suspended for fighting when one started it and the other was just defending themselves.
Poor Nimsha! Maybe Chucky will get lucky with her if she has to spend time out of her room. When my GF had a big fight with her crazy roomate in college, she wound up staying with me in my room. We've been married now for nearly 30 years. :)

Yeah, there's no finding compromise with a bully or tyrant. You can either appease them indefinitely at the cost of your self-respect; or you have to go through a lot of effort to get them out of your life.
I always hated the idea of both kids getting suspended for fighting when one started it and the other was just defending themselves.

I don't know if the story is true, but I heard of a girl who got attacked in school by another girl. She did nothing during the attack except hold her arms up to keep from getting blows to the head.

Honestly, I have more sympathy for Lucy than Nimsha. .... or at least I did until panel two.
Having your living space wreak of vomit is not a pleasant experience, and she has a right to be upset; but she
goes from 'righteous indignation' to 'crazy bitch' without even shifting gears. Way to lose the high ground!
