Pichu survives Daily Draw (animated)
Done as the last image of Daily Draw February '14. Which happened in mid-March due to me missing some days.
Never really done lip-synching before. Extra difficulty was added here because I tend not to draw mouths on my pichus in the first place.

Hey thats really cool =3
some swoosh lines as he whips his arm over would add to the look of switftness (imho) X3
Also cool line jittering at the end again, its so much more lively that way =3
Theres a whole lot going down in this animation, everything is not only just moving but performing some kind of action, even eyes (blink)
This just an observation (not a complaint), his right ear does quite a twist o:

Yeah, that ear thing was one of those challenges in turning a static art style into an animated one. in the first frame I wasn't sure whether the ear markings should be visible to the viewer, and once I realized the head would be turning around, I had to figure out a way to twirl that ear. Probably should've spread it out over another frame or two though.
Since Pichu's head is facing the same direction in the first and last frames, it becomes apparent that the ear looks better when the markings are visible. That's the thing with these animations... since I'm doing them frame-by-frame instead of key-framing them (like I probably should), the art gets better as the animation progresses. I'm basically tracing over the same image with small differences, so I can fix the things I don't like bit by bit.

This still ended up very good, I really get a lot of information about your characters details from this =3
Likewise, you have a really good grasp on your character's total design. Even though this is 2-D, it really brings out details normally only perceivable on a 3-D model. The movements look so natural it's as if you video taped a real pichu doing that =3
