I accidentally drew my own fursona waaay to thin x_x but I suppose it doesn't matter. This was more about practicing this monochrome style than it was to draw my fursona.
I've been considering for a long looong time to do some form of sketch commission. Since I started doing commissions on FA actually. But back then, my commission style was quick and I was able to complete finished pieces very fast anyways so it didn't seem practical. Since then I've gradually upped my commission's quality and consequently upped the amount of time they take to complete.
Now I'm finding an endless supply of reasons to do commissions in this sort of style xD; I could really use sketch commissions to be a type that does not have a confirmation stage, allowing me to work on them start to finish. I would also like to practice drawing in monochromatic because I'd love to be doing comics someday and I can't be bothered to make every comic of mine colored x_x
I did a car in this sketch to offset the familiarity I have with my fursona. In order to accurately time how long this image took to make for the sake of accurate pricing. In reality, I absolutely hate drawing cars c:

The monochromatic style means I have go spend less time eye-dropping colors to get the exact coloration, instead its best that I rely on what I'm seeing to make a good representation of the color. It's also not quite apparent in this picture but I'm using a much quicker style of sketching and lining; I'm skipping a step I normally take to make out the fine details. Monochrome also asks for less detail in things like the background or coloring pale colored things like the shirt c: They all only take a little bit of time on their own but it turns out it adds up significantly for me. My usual pictures take between 5 - 9 hours, this only took 1 hour.
