Proof that good karama rewards
This is my Mom's Lincoln I mentioned the other day... I just had to post how badly screwed up it is and totaled it is. Normally a wreck like this: massive injuries and maybe surgery and more. Nope.
My mom walked away with nothing more then a bruise from the seatbelt. I felt this one was a Reward from Karma itself! All the good she has done by govong her a good chance at not being hurt. Cause damn!! This split a whole telephone pole in half!

Crumple zone/impact shock absorbtion techniques have really become incredible, over the years. They say that to take it in the front end is the best, followed up by the rear. The vehicle literally sacrifices itself to protect the occupants, when at all possible. And there is the proof. Unlike a 1940's vehicle would would try to save itself with little regard to the occupant that just went flying through the air after impacting with the windshield and it's shards.
I wonder just how many years are left before the computer just completely takes over the designing, the building...the selling.
And, probably see it in Japan, first. The world's first vehicle vending machine. Be the size of a small building that rotates mini cars vertically...maybe you make a down payment and swipe the credit card to run the engine for the next ten years.

Structurally speaking. It's thankfully the design of the vehicle. Your engine block is the sturdiest part of a car. flat out. that's why the section if hit from the side is usually wrenched loose. Luckily your mother was at a speed that didn't compromise it but...that's a dead on collision what happened exactly? Black Ice?
Nope: one of the worst spots in Knoxville. Anytime it got wet people would fly off it. People who lived there were used to it, but again she was ran off of it this time due to asshat in her lane. Its a narrow 2 lane road. County has tried many times to fix this curve... Speical concrete to be extra sticky when wet, extra rough, things like that. It never works.
Ahhh, I've heard horror stories about the roads in that city. Well, all in all. I'm glad your mother wasn't harmed. Sucks your vehicle is totaled and I pray insurance covers it. What about that shmuck that ran her off the road? Caught? Still out there? Or possibly gonna suffer a kharmic back lash like you wouldn't believe?
SmartCar uses some kind of new age geometry shaped open cell construction. They say it gives great protection and makes the car light.
-Light- being the key word, here. I've heard testimony to them. As in "Never drive on the freeway." The wind gusts will knock you about. Great 'round-the-town car...like a high end golf cart. Oh...and the wonderful "Saw my daughter safely to school" testimony. As in, quite literally, the guy's ten year old daughter stole the SmartCar and got it all the way to school. So, it's super simple to operate, too.
