Okayy, so it'd been about a year or so since I had done one of these things and I thought it'd possibly be neat to do an updated one.
I'll try to explain them in order!
1. Don Bluth:
Possibly my biggest influence to date both stylistically and as general inspiration goes. Honestly, if it weren't for his movie All Dogs go to Heaven, I don't think I'd be drawing today! I was always a sucker for his nitty gritty style and how he incorporated a little dirt into his childrens films, which I've attempted to put a little bit of in my style as well. The biggest thing I've picked up from him is probably his muzzle shapes.
2. John Gourley:
I'm sure if any of you have been watching me for a while, his influence will be readily apparent! I found his stuff a few years back via Portugal the man and gee, did I fall in love. I like his interesting (and intricate) designs a bunch.
3. Emily Youcis:
Another one of my larger stylistic inspirations (who doesn't show so much anymore) is this chick right here and her flash cartoon Alfred's Playhouse. That may sound a little juvenile at first, but I can assure you that it is NOT for everyone and is actually rather disturbing.
Again, I'm sure the influence is rather apparent.
4. Mynosylexia:
Here we've got FA's one and only Mynosylexia and man, they've been a huge stylistic influence to me.
Though their style has changed a lot since I first found their stuff and started taking notes, I'm sure you can still probably see a few key things we've got in common! Namely, I learned a lot about how to colour from them.
5. Toulouse:
Another one of the influences I've had with me for quite a few years, here's another FA artist: [url=http://www.furaffinity.net/user/tou.....]Toulouse![/b] I always took a lot of inspiration from them when I was growing up, so I was excited when I found them again on FA.
The biggest influence I've taken from them was the way that I draw fur.
The smaller squares:
These are all guys that don't necessarily have an influence on my style per se, but people whom I take quite a bit of inspiration from. I won't go into detail about them individually since I don't have much to say, but here are their pages:
