This was a project/idea I have been considering for a while: my own coat of arms. A single design to encompass who I am and to showcase my time in the Fandom. A short while ago I saw
troglit's personal coat of arms, and I knew she would be the perfect person to realise my idea. And here is the finished result! Honestly, I could not be happier. There is an awful lot of symbolism in this design, some of it obvious, some less so, but all of it very personal to me.
Briefly:
- The supporters are
ziegenbock and
delphpossum, my two fursonas.
- The cathedral is Durham Cathedral - hopefully it's clear now why that's so important to me.
- The motto is Welsh, and means 'either the best or with the best'. Or, as my university college would say, 'Be the best you can be'.
If you would like any more explanation, please send me a note!

A splendid expression of your unique identity, in the best heraldic traditions - and superbly rendered. I only wish I knew you better, and could therefore decipher some of the symbolism. The supporter Dexter - a truly beautiful goat - is clearly yourself, but the supporter Sinister - an Opossum? She (for the figure appears feminine to me - please pardon if incorrect) is intriguing, and I'll have to find out more about this fursona, as it is new to me. Also, I now wonder if goats appear in any coats-of-arms found throughout Europe (or elsewhere). Your motto is admirable - and appropriate.
