How is Thailand Starbucks?

hahaha! It's very similar to north american Starbucks. Even the price is the same!
Which means it's *absurdly* expensive by the local's standards... I don't know how the franchise survives here, to be honest lmaaaooo! There are so many *way tastier* drinks for way cheaper!! (starbucks is about 200 baht, where a really delicious cha yen or dang-mu pan is about 30 baht. Most full meals with a drink costs 200 baht!)

Jeez, that does come out super pricey. I guess it's like luxury coffee or something? It's already a luxury item in the states.

The Thai Tea is wonderful, I couldn't fathom what the really good ones are like down there! Starbucks is consistent around the globe as they control the supply chain. If you buy a coffee in DK it will be the same as anywhere else, which if you like or dislike Starbucks, is an asset when you are visiting a land of few options or options that are not palatable - kind of like McDonald's - it is always consistent.

It's probably a status symbol as much as it is a good (relatively) cup of coffee. There are some specialty roasters and coffee houses that just blow Starbucks out of the water, but they are either few and far between or priced even higher.
