You know that mewtwo was supposed to be in Brawl, right? They simply ran out of time. There was never supposed to be a stigma of lucario 'replacing' mewtwo. They were both supposed to be in there.

I do know that - the game should have been delayed rather than rushed out the door in that case.

They fucked up by not holding the game up to have him in as well. This is their chance to un-fuck it up.

Not to mention Megaman was supposed to be in Brawl too... major disappointment when I found that out.

Excellent comic. I hope that they incorporate the Lucarionite and his mega evolution into the new Smash, too. While Aura Storm is a good final smash and I wouldn't be surprised if it returns, having Mega Lucario for his final smash and maybe beef up his attacks for a limited time or until he's defeated would be a good way to capitalize on the success of X and Y.

That comic was deep yo! This just means that Mewtwo may come back now that it has TWO mega stones flawless logic. Really amazing work on this, some great idea and execution.

Maybe Mewtwo will come back, who knows?

Yeah, the game looks really beautiful so far from what I've seen.

This remind me of my story of my own.


When Each Pokemon game i beat and training my pokemon till the next game i look back at the old game and say to myself. James and rose will move onto the next Adventure. My Latios and latias was from the ruby Game and they fly from Ruby to fire red and to Platinum. Then to Heart of gold and then to black. Then one more time in Black 2. Then they say good bye and die as all good things must come to a end. Then they woke in Pokemon Bank and was reborn in pokemon X. It was a Long adventure. But James and Rose will keep flying. They maybe Ruby Era pokemon and old Stats. But The Ribbons they wear show the lost friends and shadow pokemon battles they face two times and stop shadow lugia. They keep going into the unknown.

The pages started out crappy quality because I lost the .tiff file of the comic page, and was stuck with the scribbly sketch layer on top of the cleaned up lineart. Didn't want to waste several more hours doing it all over again because I already spent way more time than I should have on this comic series.

I don't get what the marble is about
and yeah... I did think lucario looked a little different

the marble is a megastone, it comes from pokemon X/Y...it would allow Lucario to temporally evolve past his evolved form

You know it kinda makes me sad.
Mainly because I used to main Lucario in SSBB, now that hes going to be in the next game, not only am i somewhat interested, but i'm also concerned, He might be better off being left on the older game in some cases to be reminded that he was good, but perhaps, theres always room for something new, especially when its a game that changes with generations.

well, from what I understand, they claim they "beefed up" his aura based attacks, and his counter attack is back... the rest we will have to see.

That's pretty interesting to know, I thought they replaced the Brawl Lucario with a different one with different stats too. Also, there are rumors that the Melee Pichu evolved and replaced the older Pikachu. Evidence provided in this video at 5:10

Pichu's wall jump in Melee is used by the Brawl Pikachu which didn't have the ability in the first 2 games.
Brawl Pikachu knows Volt Tackle which can only be learned in the Pichu state.
The 2 player goggles from Brawl Pikachu are very similar to the goggles the 2 player Melee Pichu used.

Just a theory though. ^_^;

Though, this does make me wonder: would Smash 4's Mewtwo be a successor to "Old Lucario" in the same way? Frankly I think it would be interesting to have that one take part in scenes like this. Then again, I picture New Mewtwo having more respect for the game and other fighters than this Lucario did at the start.

I always wondered how furries with paws (or pokemon in this case) picked stuff up.
