Well, I have to admit that I absolutely hate to work realistically...or at least I ahte to work in realism...but when I'm forced to do it, I go ultra-realistic. I rather like how I came out considering how it first looked. This was my first official project in my intro to sculpture class and we had to make our face out of clay. We had to get the clay, draw out some of the moisture and turn it into a flat sheet before turning it into a large, free standing empty cylinder. From there, we had to push and pull ont eh clay to make our face, add and subtract clay until finally resulting in the finished project. Had to take a lot of measurements and thankfully got everything just about right. It's in a drying phase right now for another week until going into the kiln.
