Ive got a massive boner for norse history (or rather, history in general) and I decided to come up with some sort of outfit for my fursona that fits in there. I went for a Norse theme. Viking yote -w-
Got a variety of weapons there. What I appear with might vary depending on the situation. I simply wanted a nice variety of stuff to chose from, since norse weapons are easily my favorites. HOWEVER, The longaxe is my preferred weapon. Simple but fucking dangerous. Dont forget that spike at the bottom though! The weapons in the ref section are the appropriate sizes, the axe in my hand is a bit too short. Bow might bee a little too small too.
And dont ask how a Norse dude ended up with a Mongolian bow... Theyre just better okay? K.

Love the design and the fact that you used real references to base your Nodric designs off of. It's also always great to see the incorporation of Nordic Runes which makes me wonder what they spell out when deciphered. Also I don't know about Mongolian longbows but here is a quick fact about Nordic bows. Ironically taking an "arrow to the knee" would actually put somebody down permanently if they were shot down by a real nordic bow due to the extreme draw power nordic bows have (even though they have a little slower drawback time). The sheer force of the arrow would have enough power to go through armor and also shatter your knee cap.

Thanks man! I had fun doing a bit of research for this. I meant to do one long ago. but it was a long time coming and a longer time researched. Im glad some people appreciate it! Not some dude in a horned helmet straight out of a Wogner opera. -w-
And that is true, at least before plate armor. The British long bow was similarly brutal. The Mongolian recurve bow however packed enough force to not only shatter bone if struck, but pierce even... uhhh... I believe the word is tempered steel. Anyways, that cool shit. The Mongolian shape made it possible to draw back a far more powerful bow in like 2/3s the size and time. Makes me wonder how nuts my fathers recurve bow would be if anyone could string it. Its the size of a standard British long bow, but its recurve shaped and made with modern polymers. Neither my father or his friends could string the fucking thing though ;_;
