My first character on the new Watership Down Source.

His parents and siblings were killedin front of him by a hungry fox when he was rather young, and the memory still haunts him. He has nightmares about it almost every night.

His ear was torn off while he was trying to escape from the jaws of a hunting dog that had ahold of him.

He soon meets a befriends another rabbit, but they are killed some time later. After this, Hay-Oak is starting to think or believe he's bad luck.
