I'm curious, where did the remaining 460g of the 1200g metorit went to? Or have that been impuritys or something not metal?
But Still, doing a little swordfight every now and then my self, it seams to be pretty lightwight for a sword this size, or am I wrong here?

Der Großteil des Material verschwindet nicht, aber wird beim raffinieren (schmieden und falten) aus dem Stahl gepresst, das sind hautsächlich unerwünschte Stoffe auf mineralischer Basis, die in Form von Hammerschlag (Schlackeblättchen) abplatzen.
Die Klinge hat ein gutes Geweicht, eine geschärfte Klinge läge wohl zwischen 710 und 720g, also nochmal um einiges leichter. Der Durchschnitt für solche Klingen (auch bei den Originalen) liegt so zwischen 720 und 850g ohne Heft. Ich bewege mich also in einem guten Bereich. Das Gewicht passt gut für eine solch schmale Klinge.
