I wish my tongue senses didn't react to whiskey the way you do xD I really like the smell from distance but when I inhale the drink with my nose right above it I feel like dying - Feels bitter and all T__T and it gives me stupid shivers haha

Well... forefathers on my mom's dad's side got kicked outta Scotland and ended up in Ireland. Had kids. On my mom's mom's side they were of German descent and in Ireland. Those two met in America and had kids. On my dad's side they were all German and Norwegian... so I ended up with all that stuff.
Whiskey is pretty tricky, but I'm a guy who eats wasabi too, so it's one of those weird breathing-control things, I think. Or I'm masochistic...
