Despite a very ill-timed snowstorm, I have returned home from Fur The 'More! I feel bad for leaving the con early, but it proved to be the right call. I drove home in weather so bad that all street signs were covered up with snow.

The con remains a real treasure, and I'm so glad to have been a part of each one so far. (Next goal: Win the lottery so I can guarantee a spot for the next show. Maybe I should start bad mouthing it more to give me a better chance of getting in next year.) The staff is beyond spectacular, the attendees are really wonderful, and the hotel is a great location! There was such positivity coming from everyone involved, even through the hiccups. (Some scheduling mishaps probably did damage to everyone's sales numbers, though I did surpass last year's total anyway - so yay!) It's a small con that's growing up fast, and it's in good hands, so I think next year it will be even better.

I'm super rosy for other reasons too. Each time so far - and let's break this streak next year, ok? - FTM has happened a week after I emerged from my deathbed; feeling functional for the first time in a long time. The location happens to be near one of my best friend's place, so this is my once-a-year chance to visit. For so many reasons, Fur The 'More is my happy place, and I get all smiley as I think about it.

So... uh... sorry to everyone who was near me, since I was happily babbling the entire time. (Poor teakitsune and dreamerwolf, who were stuck by me the whole time.)
